Nearly every single make up brand are releasing their own festive gift sets and products, Make Up For Ever being one of them. I was lucky to receive the Cult Make Up Set which contains 6 fantastic products which will form a wonderful base for a festive make up look. The kit contains 1 Aqua liner, 1 Mascara Smoky extravagant, 1 High Definition Powder, 1 Aqua Lip pencil, 1 Aqua Eyes Pencil, 1 Step 1 Skin Equaliser smoothing primer. I decided to combine the products into my everyday routine to create this look for you all.
STEP 1 – step 1!
After making sure your skin is clean and moisturised, apply a small amount of the step 1 skin equaliser onto your finger tips. I like to dab a small amount on my face starting from the centre and working my way out. This will help to minimise your pores and give you a flawless base to work on with your foundation. Use your foundation and brush/sponge of choice to work into your skin.
STEP 2 – Eyeliner!
I applied my favourite MAC eyeshadow and filled in my brows before adding a bold winged eyeliner with the Aqua Liner. I like to start in the middle of my eye and work my way out. If you struggle with winged eyeliner, work in steps and join them together. Practise makes perfect!
After applying my liquid eyeliner, I then used the Aqua Eyes Pencil in black under my bottom lashes, and used my finger to smudge it a little.
STEP 3! – Mascara
The wand on the smoky extravagant mascara is shaped so that you can create length in specific areas. You can use it to create fanned out lashes, or to get longer lashes in the centre of your lash line (shown above). It’s also great for bottom lashes as the bristles on the brush are incredibly long. The mascara dries very fast and adds length and volume with ease.
Step 4! – Lips
I’ve never been a huge fan of lip liners, but the one in this set is a dream to work with. It’s creamy formula aids application. I like to draw from the corner up to the top of my lip to keep the shape. I then smile to apply liner to my lower lip. I found it best to fill in the lips with the liner for a nice red, however, I went over this with a little red lip stick for a bolder look.
STEP 5 – Setting!
I have used powder similar to this underneath my liquid foundation, however, I used it with this look to set the makeup. It adds a nice glow to the face and makes your foundation look flawless!
That’s the finished look! It’s surprising that such quick and easy steps can form a classic make up look that is perfect for the festival days coming up to Christmas!
